Writings by Fa Poonvoralak

Fa Poonvoralak is a conceptual artist and writer from Bangkok, Thailand. When I was working at Phil's Photolettering in Washington DC in the late 1980s and into 1990, we recieved a package from him with photocopies of his writings, asking us to publish his work, a request we could not grant. My boss, not knowing what to do or make of the stuff, gave it all to me. Fa's reasoning for his request of publication is discussed in his CV.

I hope you find his work as intriguing as I do. Note - all of the books he sent were missing two pages. Why? I have no idea. The way he writes is disjunctive enough that you wouldn't know it unless you read the original photocopies and kept track of the page numbers.

1989: A Book of Ordinary Writings

1990: A Model of Functional Art

1990: A New Diary

1990: Another Diary
